For return on investment on social, Facebook is essential

If you’re a social media marketer, you believe that Facebook produces the best return on investment and is essential to your success. This is according to a new March 2016 survey by Social Fresh, Firebrand Group and Simply Measured.

Social media marketers were given a list of social network platforms and asked to pick three that, in their opinion and experience, produced the best ROI.

Over 95% of respondents said Facebook is essential.

After Facebook, 63.5% named Twitter and 40.1% chose Instagram.

Snapchat, the current darling of the social media world, clocked dead last at a mere 2.1%. LinkedIn (37.7%), Pinterest (10.4%) and even LinkedIn owned SlideShare (3.9%) beat out the millennial focused social network in terms of ROI.

That Facebook takes the top position should not be surprising. The company is the dominant force on mobile and current estimates put global reach at 1.43 billion monthly users.
